Jac Schreuder

I am a qualified actuary and a fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (‘FASSA’). I have extensive experience in the health and wider actuarial fields. Through my experience, I have become highly skilled in establishing new medical schemes and health care products in Southern African and have specialised experience within the South African, Namibian, Angolan, Malawian and Botswana markets.

I have also been involved in numerous short-term insurance product developments in Africa. My expertise lies within advising large employers on employee benefit costs as well as the management and structuring of the associated liabilities and assets.

I am an expert in legal compensation claims, remaining at the forefront of legal and economic developments. Further to this, I am highly experienced in the building and reviewing of actuarial models and have experience in both deterministic and stochastic modelling. I have consulted within many regulatory frameworks and specialise in tailor-making solutions according to the relevant environment.

My consulting approach adopts a big-picture approach supported by a technically strong actuarial science background. My advice extends beyond simply solving a client’s issue at hand, and I seek to provide both short and long-term, sustainable solutions to our clients.
